Long-Term Care Administrator’s Week: Eva Rachelle Stevens
March 12, 2025
With over 15 years in healthcare, Eva Rachelle Stevens has dedicated her career to enriching the lives of seniors. A Morehead State University graduate (Class of 1997 – SKO Eagles!), Eva has always had a deep respect for the elderly and the wisdom they carry. Her passion for working with seniors was sparked by the meaningful moments spent with her grandparents. Those experiences instilled in her the importance of compassion, patience, and connection. When she began working at Elliott Nursing & Rehabilitation, she witnessed firsthand how small acts of kindness—a conversation, a smile, or simply being present—could brighten someone’s day. This solidified her commitment to ensuring that every resident feels valued, respected, and cared for.
In the face of healthcare challenges, Eva finds motivation in the bonds she forms with residents and her team. Every shared story, every smile, and every moment of comfort reminds her of the impact she makes daily. She believes that a strong, family-like atmosphere among Care Team members directly enhances the care provided to residents. By fostering teamwork, trust, and open communication, she creates a home where both the Care Team and residents feel supported and valued.
For Eva, the most rewarding part of her role is watching her team come together to provide compassionate, heartfelt care. She knows that when caregivers feel appreciated and empowered, they bring their best selves to work—ensuring that residents receive the love and dignity they deserve. Thank you, Eva, for your unwavering dedication and leadership in long-term care!
